a sense we all make deals. with our families, our friends, and
especially ourselves. The trick is in knowing which deals are to our
ultimate benefit, and which ones weaken us. I know a woman who was
mocked by another for helping her husband make some career progress. The
second woman announced, "I could never put the needs of another in
front of my own!"
first woman's goal in supporting her husband's work was to help him
earn the money to buy a house for their family and to get to a point of
financial stability so she could dedicate her energy to her own dreams.
And she did.
*Let's not let shortsightedness dissuade us from deals that can ultimately benefit us.
Take time to think-it is the source of power.
Take time to play-it is the secret of perpetual youth.
Take time to read-it is the fountain of wisdom.
Take time to love and be loved-it is a God given privilege.
Take time to be friendly-it is the road to happiness.
Take time to laugh-it is music of the soul.
Take time to give-it is too short a day to be selfish.
Take time to work-it is the price of success/
