MAKING DEALS
In
a sense we all make deals. with our families, our friends, and
especially ourselves. The trick is in knowing which deals are to our
ultimate benefit, and which ones weaken us. I know a woman who was
mocked by another for helping her husband make some career progress. The
second woman announced, "I could never put the needs of another in
front of my own!"
The
first woman's goal in supporting her husband's work was to help him
earn the money to buy a house for their family and to get to a point of
financial stability so she could dedicate her energy to her own dreams.
And she did.
*Let's not let shortsightedness dissuade us from deals that can ultimately benefit us.
