It is our desire that this be a tool for strengthening your relationship with God and increasing your love of God's written word to you.
An Outline
Pastor D. Walker
How Strong is your God?
King David had a radical devotion to God. On many occasions he proves his commitment to God by placing it before the safety of his own life. One of those times occured before he was king. He was a young shepherd without military skills, yet David risked his life to fight Goliath, a champion warrior. This story reveals how the five life giving attributes of God's mighty hand were at work in David's life. Because he ad God's favor and approval, he experienced God's grace and blessing in each of these five areas:
1.Promotion
2.Provision
3.Protection
4.Power
5.Purpose
Even though God is not calling most of us to fight this kind of battle literally, He does want us to understand His mighty hand has the same five attributes that delivered David. God wants us to be just as strong on your behalf and my behalf as he was on David's behalf.
God is extending an invitation for us to live a radically committed life for Him. How strong is your God? Is He as strong in your life as he was in David's? If he isn't, then He wants you to submit yourself under His mighty hand, where He can strengthen you and fill you with His purposes. 1Peter 5: 1-9.
The term submit means to come under authority. Ultimately, the authority we must live under is God's authority because that is the way jesus lived. Jesus said He only did what He saw the Father doing and only said what he heard the Father saying (John 5:19). Humbling ourselves under the mighty hand of God is a choice we have to make.
Either we are going to let God be God, or we are going to beGod. And if you or I want to be God, then it won't go well for us. But each of us has to make the decision. To submit to God means to come under His authority in everything. God resists the proud, but He gives grace, favor and blessing to the humble.

Complaining- Genesis 41:39-40, Philippians 4:29-30, Ephesians 4:29-30. "Losers Discuss What They Are Going Through, Champions Discuss What They Are Going To." Everything in the universe begins with and revolves around two things:words and thoughts. These two elements form the creative substance that molds and shapes thedestiny of humanity. Each of us becomes the person we are, chooses the direction we take, and accomplishes everything we do based on these two primary elements. To be a champion in this life you must displine your thought life and guard your tongue. Word of the Week-Our thoughts, intentions, motivations and aspirations, whether they be secretly pondered in the heart, openly declared as desires, or formally written as goals mold and shape our personal universe into something that is either grand and beautiful or base and hideous. Whatever you harbor in the innermost corridors of your thought life will, sooner or later, reveal itself inthe outer arena through your words or actions. Just as in evry seed, there is life giving power that resides inevery spoken word. This principle illustrates how the spirtual law of incubation and manifestation works. Begin to grasp hold of this spirtual truth and you will begin to grasp the massive power of the Kingdom. DEATH & LIFE ARE IN THE POWER OF THE MIND & TONGUE | |
Meditate on this small bite for the week.
